Samsung Electronics will unveil its 2017 Samsung Smart Signage at Infocomm 2017, the world's largest display exhibition held in Orlando, USA, from June 14 to 16, and will target the North American market.

The 2017 Samsung Smart Signage features an enhanced graphics engine and hardware, and is equipped with Tizen 3.0, a Linux-based open-source operating system.

Thanks to hardware chip upgrades, response speeds and screen loading are faster, enabling seamless playback of even high-quality videos. Enhanced web graphics performance makes it suitable for stores requiring visually stunning advertising videos. Another feature is support for HTML5 and Linux-based open source, providing broader compatibility and an optimized development environment.


The 2017 Samsung Smart Signage is equipped with Tizen 3.0, and its security performance has also been upgraded to the next level.

It is a Multi-Layer Security Solution that utilizes the KNOX security solution to protect the system from external attacks, safeguarding hardware, the Tizen platform, applications, and more. In addition, it provides security APIs to B2B solution partners, offering an environment where customized security services can be developed.

Meanwhile, at InfoComm 2017, Samsung Electronics is launching various signage products in the U.S. market, including QLED signage equipped with Tizen 3.0 and the IF series of LED signage. QLED signage is the world's first commercial display to apply the cutting-edge Metal Quantum Dot technology from the QLED TV unveiled by Samsung Electronics at CES 2017 earlier this year.

Launch of various new signage models, including QLED signage with HDR10+

Available in two sizes, 55-inch and 65-inch, this product features a panel and video technology optimized for Quantum Dot, and achieves 100% color volume to display consistent colors from any angle. It is equipped with Tizen OS 3.0 and HDR10+, delivering a bright brightness of up to 1,500 nits and providing UHD picture quality.

In particular, it can be installed vertically as well as horizontally, allowing for convenient use in various commercial environments. Furthermore, the 'No-Gap Wall Mount' that adheres completely to the wall and the 'Bezel-less' design enable a clean installation environment and a highly immersive viewing experience. The three models of the LED signage IF series (P1.5, P2.0, P2.5) are convenient as installation and service can be performed simultaneously from the front and rear, and provide excellent image quality by supporting HDR functionality.

The XPB (eXternal Prismview Box) LED signage (P6/P10/P16/P20), targeting the retail market, is an all-in-one type product consisting of everything from hardware to a dedicated CMS (Contents Management Solution), making it very easy and convenient to use from installation to operation. With an IP56 waterproof and dustproof rating, it can be installed in outdoor environments and comes with a 100,000-hour product lifespan guarantee.
