Samsung Electronics discovers startups with mobile ideas and technologies

Samsung Electronics is conducting the 'Creative Square 3rd Term' competition to discover and nurture startups with mobile-related ideas and technologies.
Samsung Electronics' 'Creative Square' is a startup incubation program that discovers and supports startups with innovative mobile-related ideas.
Through the Creative Square 1st and 2nd term programs conducted last year, 15 startups are currently receiving support from Samsung Electronics.
The theme of the 3rd term competition is 'future innovative technologies related to mobile.' Examples include artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), and sensor technologies applicable to mobile product lines that have recently garnered attention, while simple service sectors not based on technology are excluded.
The application period runs from the 3rd to the 30th of this month, and the incubation period for startups selected through screening will be from September of this year through June of next year. The application method involves downloading the idea proposal template from the Samsung Electronics Creative Square website, completing the proposal and required documents, and submitting them.
Startups selected for Samsung Electronics' Creative Square 3rd Term will receive up to 100 million won in development support per team and dedicated work space at the Samsung Electronics Seoul R&D Campus located in Umyeon-dong for approximately nine months, as well as field-specific expert mentoring from Samsung Electronics employees.
Outstanding startups with significant achievements during the incubation period will be provided with opportunities for business collaboration with Samsung Electronics or support for exhibition procedures at world-renowned trade shows such as MWC and IFA, offering them opportunities to grow into global startups.

Samsung Electronics held the 'QLED & HDR10 Summit' event for two days starting on the 27th at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Los Angeles, making a move to strengthen its dominance in the premium TV market. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers.
