Infineon Technologies Korea officially sponsored the 2017 Intelligent Model Car Competition, organized by Hanyang University’s Future Automotive Research Institute and the Department of Future Automotive Engineering. At the competition held on the 13th at the Hanyang University Olympic Gymnasium, Hanyang University’s 'FAE' team took first place.

Infineon Joins 5GAA to Provide Key Autonomous Vehicle Technologies
Infineon Technologies announced its membership in the 5GAA (5G Automotive Association) to contribute to the adoption of automotive 5G standards. The association aims to introduce new communication solutions that enable connected autonomous driving and intelligent transportation systems. Infineon Launches Automotive IC for Body Control and Power Distribution
Infineon Technologies' new power IC manufacturing technology SMART7 is designed for automotive applications such as Body Control Modules (BCM) and Power Distribution Centers (PDC). Power ICs based on SMART7 technology drive, diagnose, and protect loads in applications including automotive heaters, power distribution, air conditioning, interior and exterior lighting, seat and mirror adjustment, and cost-effectively replace electromechanical relays and fuses in a robust manner. Based on thin-film wafer technology, SMART7 reduces power loss and chip size. Infineon has launched the high-side power switch product families PROFET™+2 and High Current PROFET™ based on SMART7, and plans to introduce the SPOC™+2 multichannel SPI high-side power controller within one year.

Infineon Sponsors Intelligent Model Car Competition
Infineon Technologies officially sponsors the Intelligent Model Car Competition organized by Hanyang University's Future Automotive Research Institute and Department of Future Automotive Engineering. The 2017 Intelligent Model Car Competition will be held on the 13th (Thursday) at Hanyang University's Olympic Gymnasium, with participation from approximately 50 universities nationwide, 100 teams, and over 450 university students. Participating university students used a board comprising Infineon's 32-bit multicore microcontroller unit (MCU) AURIX™ and motor driving IC to directly fabricate model cars for the competition by applying environmental perception, control algorithm design, and motor control technology. The competition divides all participating teams into two groups to complete the track, from which the top 20 teams are selected to compete in the finals.

[e4ds Tech Day 2026 ⑨] Sim Sang-gyu, Autocrypt CTO: "In the Physical AI Era, Automotive Security Must Extend Beyond the Vehicle"
At e4ds Tech Day 2026, Sim Sang-gyu, CTO of Autocrypt, explained automotive cybersecurity strategies in the era of Physical AI and SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle). Automobiles are evolving as part of an ecosystem connected to AI, cloud, chargers, IoT, and robots, and he emphasized that the scope of security must expand beyond the vehicle interior to the entire connected environment. In particular, AI model tampering, adversarial attacks, OTA updates, and EV charger hacking were identified as major threats. He explained that response measures require zero trust, AI model integrity protection, intrusion detection, Security by Design and Default, and full lifecycle security management, and that proactive security system establishment beyond regulatory compliance is critical for securing future mobility competitiveness.

Practical HIL Construction Strategy for Automotive and Off-Highway Controller Validation
As vehicle E/E architecture transitions to zonal structures and shifts to software-defined vehicles (SDV), the number of controllers (ECUs) requiring validation and software complexity are surging dramatically. Meanwhile, real vehicle testing cannot provide repeated verification under identical conditions and entails lead time and safety concerns. This white paper explains the principles of HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) validation and the structure of the NI platform composed of PXI, SLSC, and VeriStand, and through two actual implementation cases—Camera Record & Replay HIL for In-Cabin Monitoring Controller (ICMU) and Forklift Controller (VCU) HILS—describes how controller-level regression testing becomes possible. Additionally, it explicitly states application boundaries and limitations, such as lack of A2B support.
