Palo Alto Networks announced ransomware prevention and response measures and introduced 'Traps 4.0,' an intelligent endpoint security solution that supports multi-layer security.

Palo Alto Networks supports automated vulnerability profiling and technique-based exploit blocking, preventing exploitation of the operating system kernel. The recently released Traps 4.0 utilizes big data based on file hashes to block known malware attacks. For unknown attacks, it automatically generates signatures that can be quickly blocked within five minutes and deploys them to Traps. Additionally, it utilizes machine learning to reflect ransomware discovered on external security platforms locally and immediately block malicious activity.

To protect your business, you must establish a ransomware prevention and response strategy that includes appropriate administrator and user training, measures tailored to your existing IT environment, and enhanced endpoint security."
