Providing educational content that integrates on-the-job knowledge with existing training courses

Schneider Electric Korea announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of technology exchange with Dong-eui University of Science and Technology to foster leading domestic smart factory experts through industry-academia cooperation. Through this agreement, Schneider Electric will conduct specialized automation training programs at the 'Schneider Electric Advanced Smart Factory Automation Training Center.' The initiative was designed to cultivate automation professionals among employees and students, and to meet the demand for automation education in the southern region.

By introducing the latest training equipment to the training center, we have created an environment where employees and students can receive advanced automation training at the largest training center. During the summer vacation and the second semester, working-level staff from Schneider Electric's smart factory business serve as instructors to teach practical and on-the-job knowledge. We plan to integrate specialized educational content into Dong-eui College's major curriculum to provide practical and in-depth professional knowledge as well.

We plan to support advanced training programs for faculty members as well as current students. We will conduct training on EcoStruxure, which optimizes processes and enables efficient energy management by integrating Schneider Electric's PLCs and inverters with Proface's HMI and the Internet of Things. Faculty members have already participated in this training at least twice, and we plan to continue offering advanced courses during the summer and winter breaks. Ultimately, we aim to support the provision of educational opportunities to working professionals in the industry and current students by designing our own unique educational programs.
