Rockwell supplies industrial Internet of Things solution to Foxconn US factory

Hon Hai Precision Industry, also known as Foxconn, and Rockwell Automation announced that they have decided to cooperate in realizing Connected Enterprise and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) concepts in smart manufacturing at a new Foxconn US factory.
The two companies will cooperate in developing and implementing smart manufacturing solutions within Foxconn's global electronic product assembly processes and related industrial ecosystem. In addition, they will combine both companies' technologies and extensive expertise to provide advanced manufacturing systems with the highest level of operational efficiency.
Terry Guo, chairman and CEO of Foxconn, stated, "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work together with Foxconn and Rockwell Automation," emphasizing that "Foxconn is a global leader in electronic product design and manufacturing, and Rockwell Automation is the world's largest company specializing in industrial automation and industrial information." He added, "By working together, we are confident that we will elevate operational efficiency in the electronic product manufacturing sector to a new dimension and achieve the goal of 'Smart Manufacturing and Made in China 2025.'"
These companies will also collaborate in workforce development and training. In particular, as Foxconn expands its employment base in the United States, it is focusing on participating in the plan previously announced, which was developed by Rockwell Automation and ManpowerGroup. This plan aims to enhance the capabilities of veteran military personnel and create a certified talent pool to perform advanced manufacturing positions in high demand across the United States.
Blake Moret, president and CEO of Rockwell Automation, stated, "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with a leading global technology manufacturer supplying advanced industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions to the electronic product manufacturing industry," emphasizing that "cooperation with Foxconn will further demonstrate the broad applicability and power of Connected Enterprise." He added, "We are very pleased that Foxconn shares our mission to expand and enhance technology in the US workforce to secure talent necessary for advanced manufacturing positions."

Jung: In Korea, people tend to just do what the government or their superiors tell them to do, so this sense of thirst continues to persist. And people mainly talk about revolution, but Schneider calls it evolution. It's not that something entirely new is created, but rather that productivity increases, electricity costs decrease, data becomes easier to view, downtime is reduced, and more aspects become automated.
