“ Introduction of simulation capable of testing without manufacturing prototypes is essential”

ANSYS Korea held the ANSYS Executive Forum for its VIP clients at the Johnnie Walker House in Sinsa-dong, Seoul.

The forum, held under the theme of 'Direction of Simulation Environments Responding to the Fourth Industrial Revolution,' was attended by approximately 40 executives, including Ansys Korea CEO Yongwon Cho, and CXOs from client companies. The event proceeded in the following order: a welcome address by CEO Cho Yong-won, an introduction to Ansys and its future outlook, a special lecture by Creative Director Park Woong-hyun, and a dinner banquet.

In a speech following the welcoming remarks, CEO Cho Yong-won stated, “Due to digital innovation driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, product launch times have been accelerated by 30%, production times have been shortened to within two years, and the new product launch rate has increased by 66%.” He added, “Therefore, customers need to produce competitive products within a short period of time, and in this situation, the introduction of simulation is essential to enable the rapid exploration and testing of millions of design options with this level of accuracy without the need for prototypes.”

CEO Jo Yong-won then explained the future direction of simulation in this environment and emphasized 'Pervasive Simulation,' which enables testing of simulations across various physical fields on a single platform. Pervasive Simulation is a solution that goes beyond the traditional practice of conducting simulation tests primarily during the initial design phase of product manufacturing; it allows for continuous testing throughout the entire product lifecycle, from manufacturing and prototype testing to final product production.

Currently, ANSYS is enhancing pervasive simulation capabilities in its recently released or upcoming product families, such as ANSYS 18.2 and Discovery Live. CEO Cho stated, “Ansys’ solutions, which provide industry-leading pervasive simulation, are the only solutions capable of most perfectly meeting current and future customer needs for simulation, including accuracy, multiphysics, and advanced technology.”

Following CEO Cho Yong-won's presentation, a special lecture for the customers attending the forum took place. The speaker was Creative Director and CEO of TBWA KOREA, Park Woong-hyun, author of *Books Are Axes* and *Goodbye Don Quixote*. CEO Park delivered a lecture on the theme of "Creativity and the Humanities."

Meanwhile, ANSYS Korea is conducting various activities aimed at exchanging the latest technical information and communicating with existing and new customers, including this Executive Forum, the 'ANSYS Free Visiting Seminar' which has been ongoing since last August, and the '2017 ANSYS Electronics Simulation Expo (AESE)' scheduled to be held on November 17.
