A customer who had been using a Goldstar clothes dryer released by LG Electronics about 20 years ago 'returned' the product to LG Electronics.
In 1994, it was a considerable amount of money at 224,000 won, but I bought it because I had previously used a clothes dryer while traveling abroad. The couple Yeom Jae-young and Lee Hee-soon said, “We have been recommending dryers to our acquaintances for over 20 years, but it was only recently that we noticed a dryer boom.” They continued, “It works well, but we felt it would be a waste to throw it away to buy a new dryer, so we asked the store staff if there was a way to donate the device.”

LG Electronics plans to display the donated clothes dryer in its showroom at its Changwon plant.

Ryu Jae-cheol, executive director of the Living Appliance Business Unit of LG Electronics’ H&A Business Division, said, “This is an opportunity to show that LG Electronics’ ability to lead the domestic clothes dryer market is based on technological prowess accumulated over a long period of time,” and added, “We will continue to introduce differentiated home appliances that meet the needs of consumers through continuous technological innovation.”
