The new Telemaco3P telematics and connectivity processors (STA1385 and derivatives) are the first automotive microprocessors to integrate a powerful, dedicated, and independently operating Hardware Security Module (HSM), acting like an independent security company that monitors data exchanges and handles message encryption and authentication. This HSM securely verifies the authentication of incoming messages and all external devices attempting to connect, preventing eavesdropping and other security breaches.

By integrating an on-chip HSM, the Telemaco 3P device provides significantly better performance than general-purpose application processors widely used in current connected car systems, which lack dedicated hardware-based security features.
