NVIDIA Exhibits GeForce GTX 10 Series at G-Star 2017
Published2017.11.02 17:20NVIDIA is providing a new dimension of gaming experience to Korean gamers visiting its booth at G-Star 2017, Korea's largest game show held at BEXCO in Busan from the 16th to the 19th, by showcasing the latest GeForce GTX 10 series and GeForce Experience features for a better gaming experience, such as NVIDIA® ShadowPlay Highlights and NVIDIA Ansel™, under the theme of 'Game Ready'.
At this year's G-Star NVIDIA booth, a large number of gaming PCs and laptops based on the latest GeForce GTX 10 series will be on display. Visitors can experience the optimal conditions for enjoying the latest popular games through desktops as well as gaming laptops equipped with Max-Q technology, which enables a new level of gaming laptops.
In particular, an experience zone for 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' (hereinafter 'Battlegrounds'), developed by PUBG Corporation (CEO: Chang-han Kim) and featuring NVIDIA ShadowPlay Highlights, is scheduled to be operated on the main stage. NVIDIA ShadowPlay Highlights provides a feature that automatically captures a player's best gameplay records as videos and screenshots, allowing them to be shared immediately via Facebook, YouTube, and Imgur. All PCs in the 'Battlegrounds' experience zone are equipped with gaming monitors featuring NVIDIA G-SYNC™ technology, enabling smoother and clearer gameplay.
At the 'Black Desert' experience zone set up on the opposite side of the stage, visitors can also directly experience NVIDIA's 'Ansel View & Capture' technology, which supports artistic-level game screen capture based on the Pascal architecture. Notably, Black Desert is the first domestic game title to apply the Ansel feature, allowing users to preserve the beautiful ancient civilizations within the game as high-definition captured images and view them in 360-degree VR.
The live broadcast of the 'Battlegrounds' game match prepared by NVIDIA is expected to receive the most enthusiastic response from booth participants. The 'Battlegrounds' match, featuring famous game caster and streamer BJ Dangun and broadcast live from the NVIDIA booth via the NVIDIA Twitch channel, can be enjoyed not only by gamers attending the event but also by NVIDIA fans who are unable to be present at G-Star.
In addition, a rich program of main stage activities has been prepared. A program is scheduled to take place where anyone visiting the booth can participate in the 'GeForce Quiz Challenge,' allowing them to share and enjoy knowledge related to GeForce products and technologies. Furthermore, the 'Go & Find NVIDIA' program, where visitors can find GeForce branding within the NVIDIA booth to win prizes, is expected to add even more fun for visitors. At the 'Custom PC Zone,' which attracts the attention of visitors to the NVIDIA booth every year, custom PCs of artistic quality, tuned by GeForce users themselves, are scheduled to be on display again this year.

NVIDIA Enhances Autonomous Driving Safety with GPU-Powered Road Driving Simulation
Nvidia has announced that it is enhancing the safety of autonomous vehicles by testing various driving environments through simulations utilizing its GPUs. In the development process of autonomous vehicles, simulation testing can be more effective than actual testing due to its higher flexibility and adaptability, particularly when testing hazardous or uncommon driving conditions. Simulations also enable the testing of multiple scenarios in a short timeframe. During the opening keynote address at GTC Europe held in Munich, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced that through real-time simulation via Nvidia DGX and the new TensorRT 3, engineers can conduct driving simulations of 300,000 miles (approximately 480,000 kilometers) in just 5 hours. This means that all roads within the United States can be simulated in just two days.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
