Minimize installation time with phased array antenna and electron beam steering technology

Lattice Semiconductor announced the release of the GigaRay MOD65412 60GHz module set for high-speed wireless infrastructure applications.

This product is a modular solution that is not only the industry's first to obtain pre-approval but is also ready for mass production. Lattice's SiBEAM phased array antenna and electron beam steering technology minimize installation time and significantly reduce maintenance costs for fixed and mobile broadband network operators. This module set provides a complete solution that accelerates telecommunications equipment development and reduces design risks and installation costs.

The increase in data production and consumption, particularly in urban environments, is a major factor driving commercial and public broadband network operators to expand capacity at the edge. The unlicensed 60 GHz band offers these operators unique characteristics such as larger data capacity, high frequency reusability, and low management costs, which can serve as an effective alternative to the generally costly and time-consuming deployment of optical networks. However, while existing 60GHz products were cumbersome to install and maintain and relatively expensive, Lattice's GigaRay module provides operators with the opportunity to fully utilize the potential of the 60GHz band.
