Mercedes-Benz installs video wall at Cheongdam showroom following Jeonju

LG Electronics supplied digital signage to the showroom of global automobile brand 'Mercedes-Benz'.

LG Electronics installed a total of 55 LCD signages, including video walls, at the Mercedes-Benz Cheongdam showroom that opened last month.

LG Electronics installed a video wall made up of 18 LCD signages (model number: 55VH7B) on the first and third floors of the exhibition hall, and a video wall made up of 8 LCD signages on the second floor. In addition, 11 standalone signages (model number: 65UH5C, 32SM5D, etc.) that provide information in front of exhibition vehicles were also installed throughout the exhibition hall.

The Cheongdam showroom is the first Mercedes-Benz showroom in the world to feature a digital showroom. Customers can experience a variety of vehicle lineups not displayed in the digital showroom through cutting-edge digital technology such as a large video wall.

LG Electronics installed a curved OLED video wall at the Mercedes-Benz Jeonju showroom last July. The product used eight OLED flexible signage units (model number: 55EF5C) that can be bent to fit the installation site.

Unlike LCD, OLED signage does not have a backlight. Each pixel emits light, realizing a different level of picture quality. Also, the viewing angle is wide, so the colors are not distorted no matter what angle you look at it from. It is suitable for stores where many people are viewing at the same time. It is thin and light, so it can be hung on a wall or ceiling, making efficient use of space, and it is easy to produce curved shapes.
LG Electronics Korea B2B Group Vice President Lee Sang-yoon emphasized, “We will provide unrivaled value to customers through various signage including OLED.”
