LG Innotek to Host 'UV LED Forum' on March 7
Introduction of technology and products, and presentation of business support plans

LG Innotek plans to actively foster an industrial ecosystem in related fields to expand the market, based on its secured UV LED technology.

LG Innotek hosts the 'UV LED Forum,' providing an opportunity to understand the latest technologies and products and explore their application fields.

UV LEDs are semiconductor light sources that emit ultraviolet light, which is short-wavelength light with a wavelength of 200 to 400 nanometers (nm). They eliminate bacteria and viruses and chemically react with special materials to be used in surface, water, and air sterilization, healthcare, medical, bio, curing, and exposure devices.

Starting with this 'UV LED Forum,' LG Innotek plans to cooperate with domestic companies and actively discover new UV LED application products. Subsequently, we plan to expand the product ecosystem globally through overseas forums in Japan, China, and other countries.



LG Innotek's 'UV LED Forum' will be held under the theme 'Clean Future Opened by UV LED' with two sessions covering UV LED technology and business, and partnership programs.

In the 'UV LED Technology and Business' session, academic experts such as Professor Kang Dong-hyun of Seoul National University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Professor Lee Ji-beom of Chonnam National University's College of Medicine, as well as industry representatives including Research Director Hwang Woo-cheol of EcoSet, a water treatment equipment manufacturer, and CEO Kim Kyung-yeon of Clearwin, an interior design company for multi-use facilities, will introduce UV LED performance demonstration results and commercialization cases.

In the 'Partnership Program' session, Song Jun-oh, Head of LG Innotek's LED Business Division, is scheduled to explain UV LED products and the business roadmap, and present business support measures for small and medium-sized partner companies.

A separate UV LED exhibition hall will be set up at the event venue on this day. It will showcase approximately 30 types of UV LED packages categorized by light output and wavelength, such as 100mW UV-C LEDs, as well as proprietary sterilization modules and application products. On-the-spot business consultations will also take place at the exhibition.

"UV LED is an innovative product that can make our lives cleaner, safer, and more convenient," a company official said. "This forum will be a great opportunity to confirm the value and potential of the product and explore ways to cooperate with partner companies."
