Five companies, including Maxt, Burnect, and FRTech, will showcase four exhibited products.

KT announced that its leading SMEs and partner companies will participate in its exhibition hall at MWC 2018, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, starting February 26th. For the sixth year in a row, KT has provided opportunities for leading SMEs and venture companies to participate in MWC.

At MWC 2018, KT will be showcasing a joint exhibition hall with the GSMA at Innovation City under the theme, "Experience the World's First 5G, KT." This MWC joint exhibition will feature four products from five companies.

MAXST and VIRNECT have launched an augmented reality (AR)-based remote support service. AR Remote Support (RemoteAR) allows field workers and remote experts to communicate via AR video communication. Field workers transmit a video to a remote expert via smart glasses or a tablet PC, and the expert then views the video and provides instructions or advice. This eliminates the need for on-site visits, helping to improve work efficiency.



FRTek will showcase its 5G DAS, the 5G equipment showcased at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, at MWC 2018. 5G DAS is a mobile communication repeater optimized for 5G, which operates in ultra-high frequency bands of tens of gigahertz, and is a solution required to provide 5G services both inside buildings and outdoors. This exhibition will feature a video presentation of actual field applications along with equipment displays.

IRISYS is showcasing products utilizing its proprietary iris recognition algorithm. The company offers a facial recognition IoT safe, a facial recognition door lock, an iris recognition access controller, and an iris recognition USB drive. The facial recognition IoT safe offers a safe status alarm function via a smartphone app. The facial recognition door lock can also be controlled via the app.

Snatcher will showcase a 5G video relay service. This service synthesizes drone-captured footage in real time, utilizing ultra-high-speed, ultra-low latency, and stable connection technologies. Snatcher hopes this will allow visitors to indirectly experience the features of future 5G services.
