It said that not a single defect occurred while supplying more than 50,000 products in Japan, which has high quality standards.

UV LED is an advanced semiconductor light source that emits ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 200 to 400 nanometers (nm). It is used to kill bacteria and viruses, and chemically react with special substances to sterilize water, air, and surfaces, as well as in healthcare and medicine, bio, curing, and exposure devices.



LG Innotek's waterproof UV LED module emits ultraviolet rays into the water in the water tank of a water purifier to eliminate 99.9% of various bacteria and viruses. It is a waterproof product specialized for water tank-type water purifiers and is installed on the inside bottom or side of the water tank.

In particular, this product boasts complete waterproof performance of 'IPX8', the highest level among the waterproof standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It can be used without worry even in a water tank as it does not seep into the water even when operated for long periods of time at a depth of 1 meter.

Additionally, this UV LED module is harmless to the human body as it sterilizes purely with ultraviolet light without any chemicals or heavy metals.

In addition, this product can quickly and precisely control sterilizing UV rays. While mercury UV lamps require about 2 minutes of preheating, LG Innotek's UV LED module is an advanced semiconductor light source and does not require preheating.
