NI Korea Unveils Smart Factory Solutions at Automation World 2018
Published2018.03.26 10:22National Instruments (NI) announced that it will participate in the International Smart Factory and Automation Industry Exhibition 'Automation World 2018' held at COEX in Seoul for three days from March 28th to 30th, and will showcase integrated solutions and demos for factory automation.
At this exhibition, NI will showcase a variety of smart factory solutions that reduce costs and time and enable customized product production. NI is continuously developing more efficient factory operation technologies to drive manufacturing innovation. In particular, NI's platform-based approach provides flexible and scalable solutions, ensuring system accuracy and integration.
NI InsightCM, an online condition monitoring solution, collects and analyzes data from sensors and equipment, generates alarms, and visualizes data for easy management. It streamlines the deployment of multiple monitoring systems, optimizes machine performance, and maximizes uptime, reducing costs and enhancing safety. The Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) technology, also demonstrated, supports accurate device synchronization across the network through standard Ethernet updates. This technology is well suited for industrial applications as it can prioritize data as well as synchronize systems.
FieldDAQ is a solution that leverages these TSN capabilities to implement robust distribution and synchronization, ensuring accurate measurements even in harsh environments. Furthermore, the SystemLink and LabVIEW NXG modules enable powerful web-based user interface design using drag-and-drop engineering widgets. Deployment is possible from any web browser without additional plug-ins or installers.
“NI’s flexible and broad product line can be applied across a wide range of industries. It is particularly optimized for complex testing in manufacturing lines, including semiconductors, and in the energy and grid industries,” said Joo Ho-jung, head of industrial solutions at NI Korea’s strategic marketing division. “Through this exhibition, customers will be able to see NI’s innovative technologies that increase productivity while reducing costs, and more concretely envision the future of smart factories pursuing full automation.”

NI, 가상환경 SW와 실제 HW 연동 ADAS 테스트 선보여
가상환경 시뮬레이션 구현을 위해 이노 시뮬레이션과 IPG코리아는 상암동 일대 3Km를 구현하였으며, 이러한 가상환경은 실제 운전자가 운전을 할 수 있는 차량 환경까지 구성하였다. 독일 Konrad사는 VRTS (Vehicle Radar Test Simulation)를 위해 Ni의 VST(vector signal transfer)와 VDG(Vector delay generator) 하드웨어와 mmWave 헤드를 통해 컨티넨탈사의 레이다 센서가 시뮬레이션과 연동해 실제 레이다로 감지하는 데모도 같이 선보였다. 이를 통해 여러 가지의 상황의 ADAS 테스트를 가능하게 한다.

NI Technology Successfully Reduces Subaru's Electric Vehicle Test Development Time by 90%
내쇼날인스트루먼트(NI) 가 일본 스바루(Subaru)와 같은 주요 자동차 제조기업들이 전기자동차 테스트에 필요한 실제 도로 환경 시뮬레이션에 NI HIL(Hardware-in-the-Loop) 기술을 도입해, 환경 요소를 제거하고 테스트 시간 및 비용을 절감했다고 밝혔다. 일반적으로 차량 성능 및 안전 응답 검사는 시험장이나 공공 도로에서 완성차를 이용해 진행한다. 하지만 날씨나 변덕스러운 도로표면 상태 등의 제약 때문에 재현 가능한 테스트를 적시에 수행하기가 쉽지 않다. 또한 전기차는 상호 의존적인 서브시스템이 많아 일반 차량에 비해 상당히 복잡하다. 이처럼 복잡한 테스트 환경은 짧은 개발 주기와 한정된 예산 때문에 어려움을 겪는 자동차 테스트 엔지니어의 업무 난이도를 가중시킨다. 스바루는 이러한 문제들을 해결하고자, 검증 테스트에 실제 도로 대신 NI PXI 제품 및 랩뷰(LabVIEW) 소프트웨어에 기반한 NI HIL 시뮬레이션 솔루션을 적용했다. HIL 시스템 도입을 통해 실제 차량 진단 전에 환경 요소를 제거한 뒤, 가상 환경에서 차량 임베디드 컨트롤러를 효율적으로 철저하게 테스트할 수 있었다.
