ELEXCON is scheduled to be held in Shenzhen from December 20 to 22, 2018.

ELEXCON 2018, which is focusing on driving the rapid growth and change of the electronics industry in China and the world, is expected to unveil a new growth engine for the electronics market under the theme of 'Intelligent Planet'.

Key devices to be showcased at this year's exhibition are expected to include ICs and MCUs powering artificial intelligence, IoT systems, smart driving, 5G networks, and electric vehicle solutions, as well as various electronic components, power electronics, and sensors. In addition, ElexCon 2018 will provide special exhibition spaces for IoT, automotive electronics, electric vehicles, and 5G technology.

5G is expected to be the most important topic of this exhibition. China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) plans to officially announce the 2018 5G testing plan, which will be conducted in five cities including Hangzhou, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou, and Wuhan, in accordance with the Chinese government's guidelines for building the world's largest 5G test network. In addition, several companies, including Huawei and ZTE, plan to showcase the latest 5G communication technologies for user equipment and network equipment.

According to the exhibition organizer, Shenzhen UBM CE (Creativity Exhibition Co., Ltd.), ElexCon 2018 will be held jointly with the 7th Embedded Expo, EV & Autotronics China, and Mechatronics Expo 2018. Approximately 800 exhibitors and over 60,000 domestic and international experts are expected to participate. In addition to the exhibition, more than 20 expert forums and conferences featuring over 100 speakers from Korea and abroad will also be held.
