Analog Devices announced the launch of the AD5758 digital-to-analog converter (DAC).

The new products feature ADI's second-generation Dynamic Power Control (DPC) technology, enabling high-density analog output (AOUT) without the need for derating (channel lockout due to thermal buildup), resulting in more compact and cost-effective designs.

This single-channel current/voltage DAC, incorporating DPC technology, is designed for industrial applications with channel-to-channel isolation in factory automation, process automation, and motor control. The AD5758 is ADI's lowest-power industrial DAC.

The AD5758 measures 5 mm x 5 mm, offering the industry's smallest footprint. This robust device virtually eliminates the need for external protection components, enabling smaller, more cost-effective designs. The new device integrates advanced diagnostics that visualize system performance to further enhance reliability and ensure planned maintenance schedules. The AD5758 also includes output fault protection circuitry, ensuring safety even in the event of wiring errors.
