International Data Corporation Korea (IDC) announced that it will hold the 'CIO Summit 2018' conference on the 24th at the Orchid Room of the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas Hotel. The 'IDC CIO Summit' conference, held annually in a roadshow format in 12 cities across the Asia-Pacific region, provides CIOs (Chief Information Officers) with insights and actionable information through IDC's latest research analysis and case presentations.

This conference, held under the theme 'Future Reimagined: The Future of Commerce and the Future of the Work Environment,' will invite CIOs and IT leaders from major companies to examine key IT trends and digital transformation (DX) trends amidst the rapid changes in the technology industry, and to share strategies and case studies from various companies.

The event begins with an opening keynote by Sandra Ng, Vice President of Research Group at IDC, on the theme of "Innovation in the DX Economy: The Future of Commerce," followed by presentations from industry leaders including Dell EMC, SK Networks Service, Rimini Street, Oracle, and Palo Alto Networks, introducing the latest technology trends, IT solutions, and applicable cases.

Min-young Jeong, CEO of IDC Korea, the organizer of the conference, stated, “We expect that by 2027, 75% of businesses in the Asia-Pacific region will reach the most advanced stage of digital transformation (DX) maturity and undergo a digital transformation.” He added, “I hope that CIOs and IT leaders from many companies will attend this conference to find answers to the challenges they face in transforming into digital-native enterprises.
