KT expects the AI Makers Kit to significantly contribute to the development of the domestic AI industry and to broadening the AI base. Even small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies without a voice recognition platform can use the AI Makers Kit to quickly and cost-effectively adopt AI voice recognition technology.

With coding education becoming mandatory for elementary school students starting next year, following middle school students this year, it's becoming commonplace to see parents and children building AI speakers together using AI Maker Kits. You can practice the coding you learned in school through the AI Maker Kit and understand the principles of AI voice recognition by using the AI Maker Kit.

The AI Makers Kit is available at major bookstores, online bookstores, the KT Shop (shop.kt.com), and the Makers website (www.makersmagazine.net). It comes in two versions: Version A (KRW 118,000), which includes the Raspberry Pi 3B and SD card required for operation, and Version B (KRW 48,000), which is intended for users who own a Raspberry Pi 3B computer.

Following the launch of the AI Makers Kit, KT is also strengthening its efforts in training AI professionals. The company has agreed with Seoul National University's College of Engineering, KAIST's Science Gifted Education Research Institute, and Korea University's Big Data Convergence Center to establish and operate a curriculum utilizing the AI Makers Kit starting in the second half of this year. Through this AI curriculum, KT aims to help students aspiring to pursue careers in the AI field develop AI voice recognition development capabilities. This is expected to further revitalize the domestic AI ecosystem.

Kim Chae-hee, executive director of KT's AI business division, said, "KT planned a kit that allows ordinary people to create AI devices in order to spread AI across all fields," and added, "The AI Makers Kit has broadened the AI base and served as an opportunity to further enhance Korea's AI competitiveness."

Meanwhile, following the launch of Korea's first AI apartment last year, KT is expanding its AI services to various living spaces, including hotels and resorts. It plans to continue expanding its business to include AI in diverse spaces, including hospitals.
