Huawei launched the Huawei Nova Lite 2 as its first domestic self-sufficient smartphone on August 6th. Pre-orders for the Nova Lite 2 will be held for a week from the 6th to the 12th, and SK Networks and Shinsegae I&C will be the distributors.
The Nova Lite 2 features a 5.65-inch HUAWEI FullView Display and a screen-to-body ratio of over 76%. It measures approximately 7.45mm thick and weighs 143g, and features a 2.5D curved screen design and a streamlined metallic body.
Powerful camera performance
The Nova Lite 2 is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera on the back for users who enjoy taking pictures with their smartphones.
In particular, the rear dual camera implements an impressive, three-dimensional bokeh effect through a 16-level dual shot blurring function and a large aperture. In addition, the camera sensor with the new Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) technology accurately and quickly captures the moment the user wants. It is also equipped with an ISP processor developed by HiSilicon, a subsidiary of Huawei, which excels in color expression and noise reduction, and also allows for low-light photography.
The front camera offers Front Portrait Mode, Smart Face Beauty, and multiple levels of skin beautification through Huawei's automatic color matching optimization algorithm, and further provides a specialized selfie experience with face and gender recognition, and Gesture Shot.
Support for smart smartphone use
The Nova Lite 2 is equipped with EMUI 8.0 OS based on Android 8.0 (Oreo) and HiSilicon's Kirin 659 Octa-Core processor. It combines machine learning and intelligent recognition functions to learn users' mobile usage habits, predict behavior, and secure application execution space in advance, providing an efficient user experience and boasting high energy efficiency.
In addition, it takes only 0.3 seconds to recognize a fingerprint by applying the Fingerprint 4.0 solution, and you can use functions such as searching, taking pictures, and disabling alarms using the fingerprint recognition sensor.
In addition, it supports One-touch Split-screen, which allows you to run two apps, Phone Clone, a data transfer function, and HUAWEI Share, a file transfer function.
The Nova Lite 2 has a generous 3,000mAh battery capacity and features Intelligent Power-saving technology 6.0, which supports detection of power-hungry applications, power consumption testing, and one-key optimization to reduce power consumption and extend battery life.
This is Huawei’s first official entry into the domestic self-sufficient market. To commemorate the launch of its first self-sufficient smartphone, the Nova Lite 2, Huawei will hold a promotion through major online malls during the pre-order period from August 6 to 12, where it will give away genuine Huawei flip covers and tripod-compatible selfie sticks. Regardless of whether or not you pre-order, all buyers will be provided with a three-month free panel warranty service for the official domestic product of the Nova Lite 2.
The Nova Lite 2 will be released in three colors: black, blue, and gold, and will go on sale starting August 13. The retail price is 253,000 won.
