LG Uplus Receives Excellence Award at 2018 Korea IR Awards
On the 20th, LG Uplus won the Excellence Award in the securities market company category at the '2018 Korea IR Awards' hosted by the Korea Investors Relations Association, held at the Korea Exchange International Conference Hall. LG Uplus was recognized for earning high trust from investors through exemplary disclosures among domestic listed companies and active communication with domestic and international market stakeholders.

LG Uplus has been making nearly 100 disclosures annually and presenting guidance indicators through forecast disclosures at the beginning of each year, and has exceeded its management goals for the past three years. In addition, we actively communicated with the market by holding a total of 455 meetings with domestic and international investors over the past year.

LG Uplus stated at its IR, “We will continue to actively communicate with the market by expanding various IR activities to ensure a fair market valuation.”


KT's 5G Efforts Recognized in Asia as Well
KT won the 'Best Plan for Integrating LTE Advanced Pro and 5G', 'Cutting edge proof of concept award', and 'Best IoT Connectivity Solution' at 'TechXLR8 Asia 2018', held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on the evening of the 19th (local time), becoming the only domestic operator to win and achieving multiple awards.

'TechXLR8 Asia 2018' is an event organized by Informa Telecom & Media. This event featured exhibitions and forums in fields such as 5G, IoT, and AI, and also selected and awarded companies that achieved success in the Asian telecommunications industry.

Lee Su-gil, Senior Vice President of KT Network Research & Technology Support Group, said, “KT will solidify its global 5G leadership by applying KT’s unique innovative technologies, such as energy-saving technologies, to commercial 5G networks.”


Samsung Electronics Design Recognized at IDEA 2018
On the 19th, Samsung Electronics won a total of nine awards at the international design competition 'IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards) 2018' held in New Orleans, USA.
The Wireless Audio Visual Identity System won the Gold Award, while the Dual Cook Flex Oven, Chef Collection Package, Disaster Safety Network Smartphone, CJ79 Thunderbolt 3 Curved Monitor, The Frame, and VL5/VL3 Wireless Audio Series won Silver Awards. The Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy Note 8, and The Frame Visual Identity System won Bronze Awards.

Lee Don-tae, Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics' Design Management Center, stated, "We will strive to deliver value necessary for consumers' daily lives through Samsung Electronics' unique design philosophy."
