Regulatory Vicor 750W Non-Isolated Converter Unveiled

On the 21st, Bycor launched the DCM3717 converter, which supports the rapid construction of a high-performance 48V power distribution network from existing 12V loads.
The DCM3717 is a non-isolated converter that operates from a SELV input ranging from 40 to 60 V. It can regulate the output voltage from 10 to 13.5 V and provides 750 W continuous power rating and 97% peak efficiency in a 37 × 17 × 7.4 mm SM-ChiP (Surface-Mount Converter housed in Package) package.
It also supports the LV148 specification (48V automotive standard) for pure electric and hybrid electric vehicles and the Open Compute Project (OCP) Open Rack Standard V2.2 for distributed 48V server backplane architectures. It also provides a 48Vin-12Vout regulation option to support existing 12V downstream multiphase point-of-load (PoL) converters.
For 12V power applications that do not require regulation, the NBM2317, a 48Vin-12Vout, 800W fixed-ratio converter, offers 69% higher power density and 97.9% peak efficiency in a 23×17×7.4mm SM-ChiP package.
