Although social distancing measures have been lifted, COVID-19 remains a persistent threat, raising health concerns. At a time when we need something to make our lives healthier, e4ds Make is looking for 'Things'.

e4ds Make, a brand of e4ds, a domestic and international semiconductor and electronics industry media outlet, announced on the 25th that it will hold the 'Show me the Things' contest.

This contest, now in its second year, focuses on "healthcare," a topic that has gained increased attention due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. It seeks "things" that can make our lives healthier. The final challenge is to create a healthcare-related device, and applications will be accepted from the 25th of this month to the 8th of next month. Anyone interested in the contest is eligible to participate.

This quest-based contest requires participants to complete quests according to a schedule, utilizing a board to create and submit healthcare products. Entries can cover a wide range of fields, including medical, biotechnology, health, and fitness, as well as IoT, heart rate and electrocardiogram monitoring, and wearables, as long as they are healthcare-related.

e4ds make presented example ideas for submissions, including 'glasses for the visually impaired that detect objects through sound and vibration', 'automatic hand sanitizer pumping device using Arduino', and 'IoT chin-ups that tell you the number of chin-ups you can do'. In the example, we will create a 'pedometer for infants and toddlers' that can measure the baby's daily steps using Arduino Nano 33 BLE, IOT, sensor tile box, and lithium polymer battery.

The contest judging criteria are creativity, technicality, completeness, design, and participation, and the number of votes for the final quest results is reflected in the judging.

There are various prizes available for the winners, such as Naver Pay gift certificates and chicken sets, and all participants who complete the quest will receive a Raspberry Pi Pico as a participation prize.

If you apply for the contest, participants will begin the quest on the 9th of the following month. Over the course of seven weeks, participants will complete the quest by meeting the required passing criteria and deadlines, including: submitting a plan, introducing hardware and components, configuring software, and submitting the final product.

Meanwhile, e4ds make announced that it will hold a "Show me the things healthcare" contest and a board giveaway event. Contest participants can create their entries using a variety of boards owned by e4ds make, including ST, TI, and Infineon, for free (on a first-come, first-served basis).
