The World IT Show 2022 (WIS 2022), Korea's largest ICT exhibition held under the theme of 'Innovation for Tomorrow' at COEX in Seoul from the 22nd to the 24th, has come to a close.

This event featured a variety of attractions, including non-face-to-face solutions, AI, IoT & ICT convergence services, digital twins & metaverse, smart devices, and cybersecurity & blockchain, attracting over 30,000 visitors.

As side events, the following were held: △Global ICT Trend Insight (Global ICT Outlook Conference), △Export Consultation, △Comprehensive Export Consulting, △WIS Innovation Award, and △New Product Launch.

In Hall C, SKT, KT, Samsung Electronics, and LG Electronics showcased various technologies and home appliances. Booths for government-supported projects in AI semiconductors, mixed reality, AI robots, 5G, smart devices and home appliances, and electric vehicles were opened.

Third Eye Robotics, an industrial drone manufacturer, showcased a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft-type drone optimized for aerial data collection capable of long-term, long-distance flight.

Crowdworks, an AI learning data platform, was the first in Korea to incorporate crowdsourcing into a data labeling project. Through its refined data procurement service, it boasts a client base of over 350 AI engine companies.

AInomics is an AI voucher provider and AI service and R&D partner that produces prototypes at low cost using AI-related open source and cloud.

The KT booth was designed so that visitors could experience warehouse logistics DX solutions, AIoT electric wheelchairs, and more.

At the SKT booth, ICT technology and ESG services (Sullivan Plus) were displayed in exhibition halls decorated with various themes such as AI, metaverse, and UAM.

Samsung Electronics created an experiential space featuring bespoke appliances, day/night themes, and organic connections between IT devices. Night photography technology and play functions utilizing the Galaxy SS22 were showcased.

LG Electronics displayed its collection of objects and provided a hands-on experience of how they can be controlled through the LG ThinQ app.

Minister of Science and ICT Lim Hye-sook visited the event site and said, “WIS 2022 is Korea’s largest ICT exhibition and an opportunity to see the future based on innovative ICT technology,” and added, “The government will also actively support companies’ global expansion and development into a digital powerhouse.”
