A new MOSFET product has been released that will contribute to reducing the number of parts and labor required for noise countermeasures in small motor-mounted devices and reducing power loss.

ROHM Co., Ltd. announced on the 30th that it has developed three models of the "R60xxRNx series" with the 600V withstand voltage Super Junction MOSFET "PrestoMOS™" that are optimal for driving small motors such as refrigerators and ventilation fans where noise countermeasures are important.

The newly developed series inherits the high-speed reverse recovery time (trr) characteristic of PrestoMOS™ while also realizing low noise.

By improving the existing lifetime control technology, it achieves the industry's fastest reverse recovery time of 40ns, reducing switching loss by approximately 30% compared to conventional products, contributing to reduced power loss in devices.

In addition, through the newly developed proprietary Super Junction structure, the noise characteristics, which are a trade-off for the faster reverse recovery time, were reduced by approximately 15 dB compared to general products.

By achieving industry-leading characteristics, it contributes to reducing the number of man-hours and parts required for noise countermeasures in devices.

The product began mass production in December 2022 with a monthly production capacity of 100,000 units, and will be available for purchase from March 2023. You can purchase it from online parts distribution sites such as Chip 1 Stop and CoreStaff.
