Domestic advanced small and medium-sized enterprises covering the electronics manufacturing industry have gathered together. At the Korea Electronics Manufacturing Industry Exhibition, various materials, parts, and equipment companies that go into the manufacturing process of semiconductors, automobiles, PCBs, and SMTs gathered in one place to showcase advanced equipment.
The Korea Electronics Manufacturing Industry Show (EMK 2023) opened on the 12th at COEX C Hall in Samseong-dong, Seoul. This event, co-hosted by Lead K Fairs, K Fairs, and Smart Manufacturing Innovation Association, consists of the following sectors: SMT/PCB&NEPCON Korea, Photonics Seoul, International High-Functional Film Industry Exhibition, International Printed Electronics and Electronic Materials Industry Exhibition, International Smart Factory and Robot Industry Exhibition, and Automotive World Korea.

EMK 2023, held with 450 booths by 221 companies from 20 countries, mainly introduced equipment required for the PCB production process and equipment used in the SMT process.
△Measuring instruments △Functional films and sheets △Optical devices and laser equipment △Functional adhesives and tapes and other materials △Robot parts △Logistics robots and robot parts △Semiconductor process equipment △Sensors △Smart factory solutions △Automobile manufacturing process sub-units and other advanced manufacturing industries were all mobilized to encompass the entire manufacturing industry.
Tektronix and Keysight participated in the measurement solution segment, and their booths were filled with visitors, while Alpha Global, ESG, and Flam showcased their PCB cleaning equipment.

Industrial exhibitions, which had been shrinking due to COVID-19 for the past three years, are expanding in scale and increasing the number of visitors this year due to the easing social atmosphere. EMK 2023 will also be held concurrently with Automotive World Korea, expanding the event by approximately 40% compared to last year.
Ten technology conferences and seminars were held for each industry, providing a venue to share the latest trends and insights in various industrial technologies. Various seminar sessions are scheduled, including △The 4th Industrial Revolution: Market and Technology Seminar for the Electronic Assembly Industry △2023 Advanced Semiconductor Package Innovation Process Conference △Korea Institute of Materials Science Technology Briefing △Next-generation Battery Material Core Technology and Market Outlook Conference △IPC-A-610 Standard Enactment/Revision Technology Discussion △Autonomous Cooperative Driving Industry Development Council Technology Seminar △Technology Seminars for Participating Companies.
In particular, as the mobility and automotive manufacturing industry sectors have expanded in this year's exhibition, many related companies participated and presented solutions in related fields such as electrical components and manufacturing equipment.
Meanwhile, the 2023 First Half Boom Up Korea Export Consultation is being held simultaneously in Hall A on the first floor of COEX. This consultation was held to develop overseas markets, promote exports, and provide corporate consultations, and 400 overseas buyers and 1,600 domestic companies participated, leading to heated communication.

Schneider Aims for Building Energy Savings and Operational Stability with Next-Generation HVAC Drives
Schneider Electric has unveiled its next-generation HVAC drive product line 'Altivar HVAC'. The new product line's key features center on enhanced energy savings, system operational stability, and building management system integration. The products are divided into 'ATH200' for OEM and small equipment applications, and 'ATH600' for environments requiring continuous operation and advanced control. The company plans to expand the application scope from commercial buildings to facilities where HVAC system stability is critical, such as hospitals, airports, and data centers. The announcement includes over 30% energy savings, operation from -10°C to +60°C, Modbus and BACnet support, and compatibility with low global warming potential refrigerants.

Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
