Applied Materials has been recognized as a top partner in Intel's global supply chain for quality and technological innovation.

Applied announced on the 23rd that it won the 'EPIC (Excellence, Partnership, Inclusion and Continuous Improvement) Program Best Partner Award' in the Intel Partner Diversity category for 2023.

This award is presented to companies that have achieved the highest level of performance by evaluating continuous quality improvement, performance, partnership, and inclusion over the past year among all Intel partners.

Keyvan Esfarjani, Intel’s Global Chief Operating Officer, said, “I congratulate Applied Materials on winning the EPIC Partner of the Year Award, which is given to Intel’s top partners. Applied has become a key element of Intel’s success through its unwavering commitment to quality, its pursuit of excellence, and its dedication to technological innovation,” adding, “I am deeply grateful for Applied’s long-term partnership and its continued efforts toward achievement.” Applied, one of only six companies to win in 2023, stated, “It is truly the best company in the world.”

The Intel EPIC Partner of the Year Award is the result of continuous improvement to Intel's supply chain ecosystem, which has maintained a high level of performance. Out of thousands of Intel partners worldwide, only a few hundred are eligible to participate in the EPIC Partner Program. In 2023, only six companies across the entire Intel supply chain received the Intel Partner of the Year Award, earning recognition as the best of the best.

To qualify for the Intel EPIC Best Partner Award, partners must exceed maximum expectations, set aggressive performance targets, and maintain an annual performance evaluation score of 95 or higher. Additionally, they must achieve at least 90 percent of their improvement plans and demonstrate exceptional quality and business systems.
