Mouser Electronics, a global authorized distributor of the latest electronic components and industrial automation products, will begin stocking u-blox's Bluetooth modules for industrial, smart building, and medical applications.

Mouser announced on the 23rd that it is now stocking u-blox's IRIS-W10 module.

The IRIS-W10 module is a family of high-performance, standalone, tri-radio, Wi-Fi® 6 and Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) modules that deliver robust security and reliability, improved network efficiency, and low power consumption for industrial automation, smart home and building, smart city, medical and healthcare devices, telematics, and point-of-sales applications.

The u-blox IRIS-W10 module, available from Mouser, features the NXP RW612 wireless microcontroller (MCU) with integrated tri-radio that supports Wi-Fi 6 technology, BLE 5.3, 802.15.4 low-speed wireless networks, Thread, open-standard Matter over Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connectivity.

The IRIS-W10 is ideal for securely connecting products in enterprise and home ecosystems.As a solution, it integrates both PCB and external antenna options.

The powerful open CPU configuration features an Arm® Cortex®-M33 MCU clocked at up to 260MHz, with 1.2MB SRAM and 8MB or 16MB flash.

Featuring a variety of peripheral interfaces (UART, USB, SPI, SDIO, RMII, QVGA, I2S, I2C, and GPIO), the IRIS-W10 module can operate completely independently, hosting advanced software applications for a variety of purposes.

The IRIS-W10 module is designed to accommodate RF signals on the module pins for connection to an external antenna or antenna connector, reducing the PCB footprint to 14.6 mm x 16.8 mm, and operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device also has global certifications, significantly reducing developer project time and cost.

Mouser also offers the u-blox EVK-IRIS-W10 evaluation kit. The EVK-IRIS-W10 board supports all pins and interfaces of the IRIS-W10 series modules, providing easy access. A simple USB connection serves as the physical interface for power, a programming COM port, debugging, and a USB peripheral connector. The u-blox EVK-IRIS-W10 also offers other interfaces, such as an Ethernet RJ45 and an SDIO header.
