SKT, Rebellion and Cooperation Leading the Future of Domestic AI Ecosystem
SK Telecom (CEO Youngsang Yoo) and AI semiconductor startup Rebellyon (CEO Sunghyun Park) have joined forces to achieve independence in the domestic AI ecosystem. SKT is currently conducting tests to integrate Rebellyon's Neural Processing Unit (NPU) into its major AI services, with plans to maximize the performance and efficiency of various services including 'A-dot Call Summary', PASS spam filtering, PASS Financial Secretary, and Excalibur through this initiative.

SKT, Challenges Ultra-Large AI Model with Its Own LLM Technology… AX 3.1·4.0 4 Types of Open Source Released
SK텔레콤(대표이사 유영상)이 글로벌 오픈소스 커뮤니티 허깅페이스(Hugging Face)에 자체 개발한 대형 언어 모델(LLM) ‘A.X(에이닷 엑스) 3.1’을 공개하며 국내 AI 주도권 확보에 나섰다. SKT는 반도체·모델·데이터·서비스를 잇는 ‘풀스택 AI’ 역량을 앞세워 과학기술정보통신부 주관 ‘독자 AI 파운데이션 모델 사업’ 컨소시엄을 구성했다. 게임사 크래프톤, 모빌리티 데이터 기업 포티투닷, NPU 전문기업 리벨리온, AI 에이전트 라이너, 데이터 안정성 기술사 셀렉트스타, 서울대·KAIST 연구진 등 10여 개 기관이 참여해 국내 독자 파운데이션 모델 개발에 시너지를 더한다.

SK텔레콤(대표 유영상)가 과학기술정보통신부 주관 ‘독자 AI 파운데이션 모델’ 프로젝트에 정예팀으로 선정되며, 국내 AI 기술의 도약을 위한 대규모 산학협력 컨소시엄을 출범시켰다. 컨소시엄에는 크래프톤, 포티투닷, 리벨리온, 라이너, 셀렉트스타 등 업계 유망 기업들과 서울대, KAIST, 위스콘신 메디슨대 교수진들 등 컨소시엄 전체 인력 중 80% 이상이 석·박사급 전문인재로 구성됐다.
