SK Telecom (CEO Yoo Young-sang) has been selected as a core team for the Ministry of Science and Technology Information and Communications' "Independent AI Foundation Model" project, launching a large-scale industry-academia consortium to advance domestic AI technology. The consortium includes promising companies such as Krafton, 42dot, Rebellions, Liner, and SelectStar, along with faculty members from Seoul National University, KAIST, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. More than 80% of the consortium's total workforce is composed of highly skilled professionals holding master's and doctoral degrees.
