Cybersecurity firm Group IB has been named a 'Leader' in Gartner's cyber threat intelligence technology evaluation. This evaluation is interpreted as a result reflecting its predictive intelligence capabilities, which identify and respond to threats before an attack, as well as its integrated security data operations capabilities.

Group IB announced on May 6 that it was rated as a leader in Gartner's 2026 'Cyber Threat Intelligence Technology Magic Quadrant.' This evaluation was conducted on a total of 18 security companies based on the completeness of their vision and their ability to execute.

In a Gartner report, Group IB cited its capability to collect and analyze threat intelligence centered on attacker activity as a strength. Key features mentioned included access to the dark web and private communities, monitoring of threats via internet paths, and analysis of fraud-related data.

An 'integrated risk platform' integrating threat intelligence, fraud response, and incident response functions was presented as the core foundation. This platform is designed to manage various security data in a single environment and includes the operation of users, APIs, detection rules, and blocking functions.

Group IB has been operating predictive threat intelligence based on attacker research accumulated over 20 years and proprietary data collection. It is described as a structure utilizing 24/7 dark web monitoring and proprietary telemetry to analyze attack signs and attack paths.

Experience in cooperating with international law enforcement agencies was also mentioned as an evaluation factor. Group IV has supported over 1,500 joint investigations with Interpol, Europol, African police organizations, and others, and is accumulating relevant data through a global network of digital crime response centers.

The company believes that in an environment where the lines between ransomware and online fraud organizations are blurring, an approach that analyzes threat intelligence and fraud data together is necessary. Dmitry Volkov, CEO of Group IVY, stated, "Cybersecurity is not enough with reactive measures alone," adding that "a predictive approach capable of identifying and responding to threats before they materialize is crucial."
