SK Telecom has been included in the DJ BIC World Index, a global sustainability assessment index. This marks the 17th consecutive year since its first inclusion in 2008. It is the only case among domestic telecommunications companies.

In the 2026 DJ BIC announcement, it was revealed that the index is an evaluation framework that has changed its name from the existing Dow Jones Sustainability Index, and that S&P Global publishes a comprehensive assessment of corporate sustainability every year.

The evaluation is conducted on approximately 2,500 of the world's top companies by market capitalization, and only the top 10% by industry are included in the World Index. The structure reflects not only whether policies have been established but also the level of implementation and performance data.

It appears that this evaluation includes board operations and decision-making systems. In 2024, SK Telecom held a total of 17 board meetings, all of which were attended. Restrictions on concurrent positions for outside directors and committee operations are also reflected as evaluation factors.

In the supply chain management area, risk assessments and improvement measures were conducted for partner companies. It is reported that education and consulting programs were also conducted in parallel.

In the environment and safety sectors, activities included greenhouse gas reduction and industrial safety management. Improvements in electricity usage efficiency and the expansion of renewable energy purchases were promoted, and support for safety training and evaluations was provided to partner companies.

The company stated that it intends to maintain its sustainable management system in relation to this index inclusion.
