Mouser Electronics, an electronic components distributor, is targeting the AI and edge markets by expanding the supply of Altera's FPGA and SoC product families.

Mouser announced on the 2nd that, as an authorized distributor of Altera, it supplies more than 7,500 types of Altera products available for same-day shipping or order.

The supply targets encompass data centers, artificial intelligence (AI), immersive technology, and embedded applications.

The Agilex 3 FPGA and System-on-Chip (SoC) are designed based on the Hyperflex FPGA architecture and advanced transceiver technology.

Mouser explained that it enables high computing density Tera Operations Per Second (TOPS) on FPGA fabric through Enhanced Digital Signal Processing (Enhanced DSP) equipped with AI Tensor blocks.

The Agilex 5 FPGA and SoC feature dual Arm Cortex-A76 cores and dual It is equipped with an asymmetric application processor system composed of Cortex-A55 cores.

It supports a high-speed transceiver up to 28.1Gbps, a PCIe 4.0 x8 DDR5 memory interface (up to 4,000Mbps), and 1.05V to 3.3V general-purpose I/O.

It was stated that, based on hardware parallel processing and ultra-low latency characteristics, it can be utilized in the implementation of physical AI systems such as humanoid robots, AI-based medical devices, and autonomous vehicles.

The Agilex 5 FPGA E-Series 065B modular development kit supports various connectivity interfaces such as PCIe Gen4, SFP+ (10G), HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 2.0, and dual 2.5G TSN Ethernet, and is used for the development of machine vision, AI, and industrial applications.

The Agilex 5 FPGA E-Series 065B Premium Development Kit is said to be suitable for bandwidth-intensive applications, featuring three types of memory including DDR4 and LPDDR4.
