Jensen Huang Secures Supply Chain in Korea and Market in Japan
Published2026.07.18 22:10On July 15th, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited Japan and met with major Japanese companies and research institutions including Sega, SoftBank, Toyota, Mizuho Bank, and RIKEN over two days, announcing a series of AI collaboration projects. On the surface, these were partnership announcements across diverse sectors including gaming, finance, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and quantum computing. However, the industry is finding the true significance of this event elsewhere. The analysis suggests that while Jensen Huang's visit to Korea just a month prior focused on securing semiconductor supply chains, his Japan visit focused on building an AI ecosystem. In other words, if he met "a country that manufactures chips" in Korea, he met "a country that utilizes AI" in Japan.
