SK Hynix has completely revamped its recruitment process for new employees, moving away from the existing hiring method centered on qualifications and personal statements to directly verify AI utilization capabilities and fundamental thinking skills. Along with the rolling recruitment schedule, multiple institutional changes are being applied simultaneously, including half-day in-depth interviews, replacement of document formats, and a hackathon-based fast track.


SK Hynix announced on the 30th that it will accept applications for rolling recruitment of new employees from August 20 to 26.

Recruitment positions cover major fields such as design, devices, R&D processes, and mass production technology, and work locations are Icheon, Cheongju, Bundang, and Seoul.

Following the policy announced last June to completely abolish educational restrictions, anyone can apply regardless of age or educational background.

The key feature of this reorganization is the introduction of 'Half-day in-depth interviews.'

The company explained that instead of the existing 20 to 30-minute interviews, they conduct tasks and interviews over half a day to comprehensively evaluate job expertise, AI application skills, logical thinking ability, and humanities knowledge.

The document screening stage also changes.

The existing self-introduction sections will be removed, and a new form will be applied that describes 'AI utilization capabilities' and 'semiconductor job expertise.'

The method of recruitment information sessions is also shifting from a university campus-centered model to a hub-based model.

Information sessions will be held in four regions—Seoul, Cheongju, Daegu, and Gwangju—to provide opportunities for participation to youth and general job seekers interested in the semiconductor industry.

SK Hynix will also hold an 'AI Hackathon Contest' in the fourth quarter.

Participants take on tasks to solve on-site semiconductor problems using AI, and top performers are granted Fast Track benefits, which exempt them from the document screening and allow them to proceed directly to the interview.
