Testo Korea Supplies 100 Frying Oil Spoilage Measurement Devices to BBQ Company-Operated Outlets
Testo Korea announced on the 12th that it has supplied 100 units of 'testo 270 BT' to BBQ company-operated outlets nationwide under the Genesis BBQ Group.
The company stated that BBQ is the first in the domestic chicken franchise industry to adopt the testo 270 series on this scale.
Conventionally, food service facilities have judged frying oil condition through acid value paper or visual observation by workers.
This method has been recognized as problematic because results can vary depending on the measurer, making it difficult to establish objective standards.
The 'testo 270 BT' digitally measures TPM values instead of acid value (AV) to immediately quantify oil condition, and can synchronize data with smartphones and tablets through Bluetooth, according to Testo Korea's explanation.
A BBQ official stated, "With the adoption of 'testo 270 BT', we have reduced reliance on subjective judgment and can now manage frying oil condition based on objective measurement values. We will more clearly manage the timing of frying oil replacement to improve cost efficiency while providing customers with uniformly consistent product quality."
Hong Sung-soo, Team Leader at Testo Korea, stated, "Building on this implementation, we will expand digitalization and standardization of frying oil quality management across the franchise industry as a whole, and will do our utmost to provide efficient and highly reliable measurement solutions for food and food service industry operations."
