Lenovo has been named one of the "Best Global Brands of 2015" by Interbrand. Lenovo is regarded as one of the strong new entrants, alongside Lego and PayPal.
Interbrand ranks the most influential companies every year, selecting the top 100 companies by analyzing various methods.
The evaluation criteria for the Global Brand Annual Report, which is being published for the 16th time this year, include financial performance, influence on customers, and factors that contribute to brand value, such as premium pricing or profits for the company.
Lenovo is the world's number one PC company (with a market share of over 20%), one of the world's top three tablet and server manufacturers, and one of the world's top five global smartphone companies. It changed its logo design to adopt a digital and social-centric visual identity (VI) and unveiled a new product lineup and global marketing campaign befitting its annual revenue of $46 billion.
In addition, we held various events such as the recent Tech World in Beijing, the record-breaking CES in Las Vegas, and product launches in Berlin, New York, and Shanghai last month.
Regarding this selection, Lenovo Chief Marketing Officer David Roman stated, “Business performance and brand performance are closely linked. Being recognized as one of Lenovo’s world-leading brands is a significant achievement, as it reflects not only the success of our marketing and customer engagement activities but also the company’s overall strengths.”
Jez Frampton, Global CEO of Interbrand, stated, “Lenovo is transforming its global brand through a new logo, campaigns that lead people to become part of the brand, and providing the technology people want.”
