Element14 announced that it has signed an Asia-Pacific distribution agreement with ARM, a global leader in semiconductor IP, to distribute various development tool suites for ARM processor-based system design.

Through this agreement, which expands existing distribution agreements between the two companies for the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Element14 becomes the world's largest distributor of ARM's development tools, software, evaluation boards, and debug hardware.

Through this agreement, Element14 will provide ARM-certified technical support in addition to hardware and become the industry's first global distributor to offer software online for download and immediate use. This includes industry-leading ARM IDE/compiler software favored by programmers worldwide.

Support for customers worldwide across the comprehensive ARM ecosystem

In addition, as an opportunity to take the successful relationship between the two companies to the next level, this is also an agreement in which Element14 becomes the first third-party service partner for mbed, a development platform that enables the rapid development of ARM microcontroller-based products. Through this partnership, ARM’s development platforms and tools can be applied to a much wider range of boards and products, and at the same time, it is an opportunity for Element14 to collaborate with customers to provide training to engineers and developers.
