A solution capable of testing on various devices and operating systems

SK Telecom has formed a strategic partnership with GridOne, a company specializing in software quality management, and launched 'mAppCheck (Mobile Application Check),' an app development verification service.

mAppCheck is a service that verifies whether a newly developed app runs properly on various devices and operating systems, and allows for one-stop testing of applicability to over 200 types of devices and most operating systems, including Android and iOS (including 9.0).

In addition, through the provision of cloud-based services, users can easily and quickly conduct tests anytime, anywhere via the Tbizpoint (www.tbizpoint.co.kr) website, and perform tests on multiple devices simultaneously without having to physically acquire various terminals.

Previously, even though developers personally secured various types of devices and operating systems for app integration testing, the high likelihood of errors occurring after launch was due to the large number of untested devices and OSs; however, by utilizing mAppCheck, developers can receive sophisticated data and summary reports verifying app compatibility and defects across diverse devices and OS versions with a single execution.

SK Telecom is holding a discount event for startups and SOHO companies to commemorate the launch of mAppCheck. If users sign up for Tbizpoint by the end of March and request to purchase and use the mAppCheck service, they can receive a discount of up to 30% on the usage fee. In addition, there are plans to support free testing for 20 types of devices, including the Galaxy S6.

SK Telecom plans to build a system that allows users to try the service for free for one day without a separate sign-up process, and will implement an education program to train professional testing personnel.

In addition, based on feedback from app developers and QA personnel, we plan to pursue performance improvements, such as providing reports on device resource usage during app usage.
