Toshiba Launches H-Bridge Driver IC for Low-Voltage Drives
Published2016.03.30 10:56Toshiba Corporation’s semiconductor and storage products company announced the release of the new product 'TC78H620FNG' to its lineup of H-bridge driver ICs for DC brush motors and stepping motors used in mobile battery-powered equipment (cameras, small printers) and home appliances.
The new product applies 4-port interface control using phase signals and enable signals. The existing standard interface product, 'TC78H610FNG', required 4 ports for full-step control of stepping motors.
The 'TC78H620FNG' implements control using three ports. Due to the set's excellent functionality, a shortage of MCU control ports can sometimes be a problem. This product is expected to contribute to solving this issue.
It is also compatible with low-voltage drives (motor drive: 2.5V or higher, logic control: 2.7V or higher), and is therefore suitable for mobile devices (cameras, small printers) equipped with 3.7V lithium-ion battery drives.
