GoggleTech VR Unpack Event That Significantly Reduced Dizziness
Published2016.04.01 19:05GoggleTech Co., Ltd., a VR (virtual reality) device developer, held an unboxing event for its 3D 360-degree camera device, 'GoggleTech Dream,' on the 28th at the 8th floor of the APM PLACE building next to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station.
'GoggleTech Dream,' which has the greatest advantage of being able to capture a clear three-dimensional effect that cannot be felt in existing 360-degree videos, is characterized by a structure different from previously known structures that significantly reduces dizziness and is currently in the process of filing for a U.S. patent in 2013.
At the Unpacked event, the celebratory performance by girl group Tahiti was filmed in actual 360-degree 3D using 'GoggleTech Dream', and is expected to show a higher level of three-dimensionality than existing videos.
In addition to this, they also unveiled 'Cyborse,' a robot horse that allows users to experience virtual reality such as running across a vast plain while wearing an HMD.
The Unpacked venue will continue to operate as a permanent experience hall and studio to support anyone in experiencing and creating various VR content. GoggleTech, which provides both VR content devices and services, is a leading VR company in Korea.It is recognized as such.

KT(회장 황창규, www.kt.com)는 26일과 27일 양일에 걸쳐 열린 kt wiz 시범경기에서 ‘GiGA VR’ 생중계를 성공적으로 마쳤다고 28일 발표했다. KT가 양일간 선보인‘GiGA VR’ 생중계 서비스는 1루, 3루, 포수석에 설치된 총 3대의 VR 전용 카메라로 촬영된 영상들을 실시간으로 조합해 VR 영상을 생성하고, 관중은 스마트폰을 통해 VR 생중계를 감상하는 방식이다. VR 영상은 스마트폰 터치로 360도 영상을 돌려가며 감상할 수 있으며, HMD(Head Mounted Display: 머리에 쓰는 디스플레이 기기)에 스마트폰을 장착하여 감상할 수도 있다.
