MDS Technology Hosts Korea's Largest Automotive Software Developer Conference

MDS Technology (CEO Lee Sang-heon), a company specializing in embedded solutions, announced that it plans to hold the '2016 Automotive Software Developer Conference' on the 25th to introduce software development technologies for automotive software quality innovation and successful domestic and international cases.
MDS Technology has been well-received by attendees and the industry for hosting the largest automotive conference in Korea every year, sharing the latest technology trends and various development success stories with developers from automotive manufacturers, parts suppliers, and automotive electronics software companies.
More than 600 automotive software developers are expected to attend this year's 7th conference. Under the theme of "Technological Trends in Automotive Software Development and Advanced Overseas Cases," the conference will cover key issues for future automotive development, such as ADAS technology—a foundational technology for smart cars—as well as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, V2X, CAN FD communication, and Timing, and will also feature exhibition demonstrations.
Notably, IBM introduces a method to integrate model-based software architecture and model-based testing with safety function execution activities. In addition, dSPACE is expected to be a venue for obtaining information on advanced development technologies by presenting solution application cases for V2X development and testing and a new approach to simulating sensor environments.
“We plan to introduce various cutting-edge technologies and actual application cases that can dramatically increase automotive software development efficiency while improving the quality of automotive software,” said Woo Jun-seok, Executive Vice President of MDS Technology. “We hope this will help strengthen the quality competitiveness of the domestic automotive industry.”
Meanwhile, this conference, hosted by MDS Technology and sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers, consists of a total of 3 tracks and 21 sessions and will be held free of charge on the 25th at the El Tower in Yangjae-dong, Seoul.

MDS Technology, Army and Weapon System SW Technology Mutual Cooperation
Embedded solutions specialist MDS Technology (CEO Lee Sang-heon) announced on the 29th that it has signed a business agreement with the Army Logistics Command's Army Comprehensive Maintenance Depot (Commander Brigadier General Park Ki-seop), a responsible management agency under the Army Logistics Command, for technical cooperation on weapon system software. The Army Comprehensive Maintenance Depot plans to establish the Army's first embedded software management organization and establish a software management and development operational system from the perspectives of software engineering and safety. It is building the operational foundation in terms of organization, personnel, and facilities, including the opening of an embedded software support center for embedded software management.
