Microchip Technology (Korea Representative: Han Byung-don) announced that it has achieved the feat of shipping 2 million development tools.

Microchip has continuously expanded and diversified its line of development tools, including the award-winning free MPLAB® X IDE (Integrated Development Environment), the free and optimized MPLAB XC compiler, and the widely used low-cost PICkit™ 3 and MPLAB ICD 3 In-Circuit Debuggers.

This diverse line of development tools supports most embedded design applications using Microchip's microcontrollers, digital signal controllers, and analog components.

To celebrate the shipment of 2 million units, Microchip is offering all major development tools at a 20 percent discount until the end of June. This promotion includes Microchip's most popular key development tools, such as the PICkit 3 In-Circuit Debugger, MPLAB ICD 3 In-Circuit Debugger, MPLAB REAL ICE™ In-Circuit Emulator, all MPLAB XC PRO Compiler Workstation licenses, and MPLAB REAL ICE Power Monitor Board.
