Analysis of Wildfire in a Forrester Research Report
Proving the Excellence of a Cloud-Based Real-Time APT Solution

Palo Alto Networks (CEO Wonsik Choi) announced that the excellence of its APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) response solution, 'WildFire™', was proven in an automated malware analysis solution report published by market research firm Forrester Research.

Forrester released its “Forrester Wave: Automated Malware Analysis Market, Q2 2016” report, which analyzed 11 vendors across 36 criteria. The report described Palo Alto Networks’ cloud-based APT solution, Wildfire, as offering “automated malware analysis integrated into a next-generation firewall platform,” and explained that Palo Alto Networks is pursuing a “comprehensive strategy that supports not only detection and response but also proactive defense.”



The report on automated malware analysis states, “Palo Alto Networks solutions automatically perform specific analysis tasks that practitioners would otherwise have to perform manually through static and dynamic analysis methods, and have evolved to the point where they can detect not only known malware but also new, unknown security vulnerabilities. “Designed to proactively address known and unknown cyber threats, this security technology is being evaluated as a must-have investment for 2016, not an optional one,”[1] he wrote.
