Held at COEX, Seoul on June 1 and in Busan on June 16

National Instruments (ni.com/korea, hereinafter NI) announced that it will hold the 'Measurement and Control Symposium for R&D and Industrial Engineers' at COEX in Seoul on June 1 and in Busan on June 16. NI Korea organized the sessions based on content necessary for practical work by R&D and industrial engineers.

As the domestic industry moves beyond an era emphasizing production to one emphasizing efficiency, the current trend is to introduce online-based condition monitoring systems to reduce uptime and ensure efficient equipment operation. Accordingly, NI has organized a machine condition monitoring session to unveil specific solutions applicable to the domestic market through real-world case studies from both overseas and domestic settings.

For R&D developers, content ranging from industrial sensor attachment and operation methods to model-based simulation test examples, NI software usage tips, and solutions from noise and vibration experts is provided, along with the Top 7 technical support issues and solutions received by NI over the past 10 years. Industrial engineers can find practical insights into industrial communication, efficient motion control methods, and examples of industrial IoT implementations.


Kim Jong-woo, Manager of Strategic Marketing at NI Korea, emphasized, “With the advent of the era of industrial IoT and smart factories, many companies are introducing network and cloud solutions, but the most important aspect remains selecting the sensors best suited for the site to acquire and analyze data.” Based on this, the following were recommended as highlight sessions for this event: hands-on sensor lectures by Kistler Korea and KTME, the top two domestic sensor companies; noise and vibration solutions and case studies by SolWorks; and robot development and case studies utilizing EtherCAT motion by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology.

The free Measurement and Control Symposium features product consultations and demonstrations by professional application engineers, as well as a raffle for attendees offering prizes such as Dr. Dre headphones, a drone helicam, and an external SSD.
