Surface-mount UMTS/HSPA wireless modem family supporting broadband 3G standards

– u-blox (Korea Representative: Hyun-jin Ji) announced the LISA family of ultra-high-speed, compact wireless modems. LISA supports a wide range of broadband applications where high-speed wireless internet connectivity is essential, such as mobile computing, automotive infotainment, telematics, and portable terminals. LISA also supports secure data transmission for sensitive applications, including remote metering systems, fixed wireless terminals, remote health checkups, remote displays, and in-store terminals.

The modules utilize UMTS/WCDMA technology to provide uplink speeds of up to 5.7 Mb/s (HSUPA) and download speeds of up to 7.2 Mb/s (HSDPA). LISA also supports quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (2G). The series of modules is provided in a small surface mount package of 33.2 x 22.4 x 2.7 mm.
