Lattice Semiconductor (Country Manager Lee Jong-hwa) announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with NDS Surgical Imaging, a company specializing in medical visualization equipment, to utilize Lattice’s WirelessHD® solutions in the field of medical device applications.
Based on Lattice’s SiBEAM® millimeter wave technology and its award-winning ZeroWire® ecosystem technology, NDS provides a second-generation platform and robust WirelessHD video link solution for minimally invasive endoscopes such as Endo/GI and laparoscopy.
Through this partnership, NDS has further strengthened its market position by providing real-time wireless 1080p video solutions to global medical equipment OEMs. A 4K UHD wireless solution is also currently under development.
By using 60GHz wireless connectivity, medical institutions can reduce installation, maintenance, and cleaning costs associated with cables in operating rooms, thereby reducing total maintenance costs.
Implementing ZeroWire WirelessHD connectivity in the operating room enables the wireless, lag-free real-time HD video delivery between image sources and NDS surgical displays. This not only eliminates the risk of tripping over complex cables but also simplifies operating room procedures and improves overall efficiency.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
