Control the built-in system using a dedicated smart home application via Wi-Fi

LG Electronics is equipping built-in appliances with smart features as standard, following general appliances. The company plans to significantly expand the smart home ecosystem by applying smart features to all home appliances, including built-in appliances.

LG Electronics has decided to apply Wi-Fi to all built-in appliances released domestically and internationally starting this year, including 'Signature Kitchen Suite', 'LG Studio', and 'LG Dios Built-in'. Last year, with the launch of the ultra-premium built-in brand 'SIGNATURE KITCHEN SUITE,' we equipped all built-in package products with smart features for the first time in the industry.

Users can install the SmartThinQ application, LG Smart Home service, on their smartphones to control built-in kitchen appliances equipped with smart functions, such as refrigerators, ovens, cooktops, and dishwashers, or check their operating status.

For example, even if a user leaves the house while the oven is in use, they can receive a notification on their smartphone when cooking is finished. For Wi-Fi-enabled cooktops, users can set the appropriate heating time for the dish via smartphone. Additionally, users can check if the refrigerator door is properly closed and manage the history of stored food using their smartphone.

It also links with LG's smart home service, SmartThinQ.

The user SmartThinQ Hub (SmartThinQ   Smart ThinQ Hub allows for more convenient use of built-in kitchen appliances equipped with smart functions. The long, cylindrical Smart ThinQ Hub is a device that monitors the operating status of built-in appliances and provides notifications via screen and voice. Users can conveniently check the operating status of built-in kitchen appliances through the Smart ThinQ Hub, even in situations where using a smartphone is inconvenient, such as while cooking or cleaning.

Song Seung-geol, Executive Vice President of LG Electronics’ Cooking & Built-in BD, emphasized, “We will expand our range of built-in appliances equipped with smart features to enable more convenient use for customers,” adding, “We will create a kitchen culture of a different dimension that has never been experienced before.”
