Samsung Electronics launched its new 2017 ‘Wind-Free Air Conditioner’ and ‘Blue Sky’ air purifier lineup on the 25th, and introduced upgraded air care solutions.

Last year, Samsung Electronics released a wind-free stand-type air conditioner that maintains indoor temperature without wind. The 2017 model was made smarter with improved energy efficiency and the addition of artificial intelligence technology. A wall-mounted version was also released for use in private spaces, enabling multi-home configurations.

This product quickly reaches the desired temperature through powerful 'speed cooling', and then provides effective cooling through 'wind-free cooling' that evenly distributes cold air through approximately 21,000 'micro holes' on the front of the air conditioner. Additionally, the 'Wind-Free Air Conditioner' can automatically create an ideal indoor environment by utilizing 'Wind-Free Cooling' in 'Smart Comfort' mode during the day and 'Wind-Free Tropical Night Sleep' mode at night.

Samsung Electronics stated that the 'Smart Comfort' mode automatically switches between cooling, purification, dehumidification, and wind-free functions based on indoor temperature, humidity, and cleanliness in the stand-alone type, and the 'Wind-Free Tropical Night Good Sleep' mode controls temperature and airflow according to the three-stage sleep pattern of entering sleep, deep sleep, and waking up, thereby eliminating unnecessary power consumption. In addition, the company stated that applying 'Wind-Free Cooling' can save up to 90% of power for the stand-alone type and up to 72% for the wall-mounted type compared to general cooling.

Hygienic management is possible by introducing a clean water circulation system that prevents humidifier contamination.

The "Blue Sky 6000" is being released, featuring not only a purifying function but also a humidifying function that is easy to clean and maintain. The product offers both a purifying and humidifying function, offering a solution for humidifier hygiene management.

Blue Sky 6000 is a natural humidification system that uses a 'clean water circulation' method to continuously circulate water, preventing water from stagnating and preventing contamination by water stains, bacteria, and microorganisms. Additionally, hygienic management is possible by applying a natural vaporization method using electrolytic purified water.

The newly released 'Wind-Free Air Conditioner' and 'Blue Sky' are equipped with a 'smart home' function, allowing the product to be operated from anywhere, indoors or outdoors, via a smartphone.

The "Wind-Free Air Conditioner" analyzes big data to learn about the user's living environment and automatically implements cooling operations, such as the "Smart Comfort" mode. It also incorporates a unique remote diagnostic function that analyzes information collected by sensors in the air conditioner's indoor and outdoor units to diagnose and address problems.

Samsung's 'Wind-Free Air Conditioner' stand-alone model is available in 12 models in total, with cooling areas of 52.8㎡, 58.5㎡, 65.9㎡, and 81.8㎡, and in 3 colors: Metal White, Metal Gold, and Metal Titanium. The price ranges from 2.78 million won to 5.43 million won for a single item, and from 3.2 million won to 5.85 million won for a home multi-set.

The wall-mounted 'Wind-Free Air Conditioner' is comprised of a total of four models with three capacities of 18.7㎡, 24.4㎡, and 29.3㎡, and the factory price is from 900,000 won to 1 million won for a single unit.
Samsung's air purifier 'Blue Sky' comes in 14 models in 4 series, with prices ranging from 320,000 won to 1 million won.
