Samsung Pay Mini expands reach to all Android phones

Samsung Electronics is expanding the mobile payment market.
Previously, Samsung Pay was available only on a limited number of devices. Samsung Electronics aims to increase its market share in the mobile payment market by expanding the service, which was previously supported only on specific models such as the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy A5, and A7, to Android-based smartphones.
With this in mind, Samsung Electronics announced that it will officially launch the 'Samsung Pay Mini' service in the first quarter, and the mobile payment market is expected to become fierce in the future.
Through 'Samsung Pay Mini,' users can access not only online payments but also additional features of the existing Samsung Pay, such as membership, lifestyle services, and transportation cards. However, offline payments are only available through the standard Samsung Pay.

Meanwhile, the existing Samsung Pay app introduces new value-added services in the shopping and rewards sectors.
Samsung Pay customers can search for and purchase products from famous domestic shopping malls, Gmarket, Hyundai Department Store, Wizwid, fashion and beauty Soho malls, and more. Additionally, through the Rewards service, they can earn points when making payments with Samsung Pay or participating in events. The points accumulated in this way can be used for exchanging coupons, participating in events, etc.
Samsung Electronics is conducting a pre-experience event for the 'Samsung Pay Mini' service and new services starting February 6, prior to the official launch of the service, allowing existing customers to use it in advance through the Google Play Store and the Samsung Pay app.
